We are proud to announce that Conexus has been chosen by Andy Hargreaves to serve as the secretary of the Atlantic Rim Collaboratory. Hargreaves, the founder of this initiative, wanted to create an arena where leaders from carefully selected educational systems could join forces with internationally acclaimed thought leaders to devise and commit to strategies and tools for realizing higher levels of equity, diversity, excellence, well-being, deeper learning, democracy and human rights for all students. Participating educational systems at the moment include Ontario, Alberta, California, Iceland, Finland, Scotland, Vermont and Aruba. Ministers from these systems will meet at the inaugural summit in Reykjavik, Iceland September 14 and 15 2016 together with thought leaders such as Sir Ken Robinson, Pasi Sahlberg, Jeannie Oakes, Pak Tee Ng, Vicky Colbert and of course Hargreaves. The purpose of the summit is to:

• Co-create new narratives of high-quality education
• Define or redefine the vision for the Collaboratory
• Co-create a realistic strategy to achieve it
• Commit to achieving implementation and outcomes over at least 3 years

We look forward to participate in this journey and will do our best to ensure learning outcomes.
